I built NoctForge because I was sick of it — a flashlight asking for your location, a PDF reader that needs a cloud account, a timer behind a $9.99/month paywall. Why does every app need a subscription now? Why does a unit converter need to phone home? I got fed up paying premium prices to be the product. I wanted tools that respected my privacy, worked completely offline, and actually looked good. So I built them. Every single one. One price. Yours forever. No BS.

The INTERNET permission is explicitly removed from the Android manifest. The app cannot phone home. Provably offline.
Every sensitive screen blocks screenshots and screen recording at the OS level. No screenshot app or screen recorder can capture your private data.
Encrypted backups use PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with 750,000 iterations. Passphrase brute-force is computationally infeasible.
NoctForge Notes supports a full decoy vault with a separate PIN. Under duress, open the decoy — your real data stays hidden.
Your notes and 2FA keys can be manually exported as an encrypted backup file — stored wherever you choose, on your device. If your phone breaks or you switch devices, your data comes with you. Nothing is ever locked to a cloud account.
NoctForge is proprietary, closed-source software. We're upfront about that. What we can tell you: no internet permission in the manifest (provably offline), all sensitive features documented in our permissions breakdown, and every privacy claim here is verifiable by behaviour — not just words.
PDF OCR uses a fully bundled on-device text recognition model — no Google Play Services, no network call, no account. Document scanning runs on OpenCV, also entirely bundled inside the app. Neither component can communicate with the outside world. Your documents stay on your device.
NoctForge requires Android 13+ and has zero Google Play Services dependencies. It runs on de-Googled devices including GrapheneOS, LineageOS, and CalyxOS — no GMS, no Play Store account required for functionality once installed.
Note for Custom ROM users: NoctForge is launching first on Google Play. Because the app has no INTERNET permission, it cannot use standard online license-checking. We are actively setting up a direct-purchase option (Gumroad/Ko-fi) to offer a completely DRM-free APK for users who do not use the Play Store. Stay tuned.
NoctForge requests only what specific features need to function. Every permission can be revoked at any time in Android Settings — the app will simply disable the feature that needs it, nothing else changes.
What we explicitly do not request: Internet access, external storage, network state, Wi-Fi state, or advertising ID. The INTERNET permission is removed from the app manifest entirely — NoctForge is provably unable to send data anywhere.
